According to the research results of Saidi Jingzhi, it is expected that the cumulative scrap of power lithium batteries will be around 20-40000 tons in 2015. By around 2020, the cumulative scrap of power lithium batteries for new energy vehicles in China will reach a scale of 120000-170000 tons. Such a huge amount of Battery recycling needs to conduct research on the power lithium battery recycling business and explore the business model in advance.
Uncertainty about the potential benefits of reusing power lithium batteries. Although battery data provided by power lithium battery companies shows that batteries phased out by new energy vehicles will still retain 70-80% of their effective energy, and have strong cost advantages, batteries still face many challenges in the field of energy storage, which is mainly concentrated in the field of utilization. China's energy storage batteries are still concentrated in communication base station energy storage and UPS energy storage in large data centers, banks, and other areas. Moreover, the mainstream energy storage method is lead-acid batteries, and there is still uncertainty about the replacement of power lithium batteries in these fields. In addition, for new energy storage, it is also limited by the country's support in the field of new energy distributed power generation.
