1. Use CMOS discharge jumper
For most of the current motherboards, there are CAHOS discharge jumper to facilitate users to perform discharge operations. This is the most commonly used AHOS discharge method (the following method 2, 3, 4, and the way in the summary are basically not used. The discharge jump line is generally three stitches, located near the motherboard CMOS battery socket, and a battery discharge instructions (some are two stitches, such as Huaqing motherboard, which is also located near the motherboard CMOS battery. In the default state of the motherboard, the jump cap will be connected to the pinnames identified as "1" and "2". From the discharge instructions, you can know that it is "normal", that is, the normal use state.
To use this jump line to discharge, first use the picker or other tools to pull out the jump cap from the pinna of "1" and "2", and then put it on the pin to the pin of the needle as "2" and "3". They are connected, and from the discharge instructions, we can know that the status at this time is
"Clear CMOS", that is, clear CMOS (as shown in the figure below). After a short (just one second, it does not matter), you can remove the various manual settings of the user in the BIOS, and return to the default setting when the motherboard leaves the factory.
After discharge CMOS, you need to remove the jump cap from the pin of "2" and "3", and then restore it to the original
"1" and "2" needle. Note that if the jump cap is not restored to the NORNAL state, the computer cannot be started and there will be alarm prompt.
2. Take out the CMOS battery
I believe that many users have encountered the following situation: to discharge CMOS, but on the motherboard (such as ASUS motherboard), you can't find the jumper of CHOS discharge. What should I do? At this time, the CMOS power supply can be used to achieve the purpose of discharge. Because the power supply of BIOS is supplied by the CMOS battery, the battery can be taken out to cut off the BIOS power supply, so the parameters set in BIOS are cleared.
Find the CWOS battery socket on the motherboard, and then press the socket on the socket to the side to the side. At this time, the CNOS battery will automatically pop up and carefully remove the battery.
Then connect the host power to start the computer, and the data in the screen will be prompted on the screen that the data in the BIOS has been cleared, and you need to enter the BIOS to be reset. In this way, it can prove that it has successfully discharged CMOS.
