The positive electrode material is manganese dioxide with stable chemical performance, the negative electrode material is lithium metal, and the electrolyte is the carrier of ion transmission. The main components are ethylene glycol dimethyl ether, propylene carbonate and lithium perchlorate.

　　Lithium manganese button battery is a primary battery (non rechargeable), which requires higher processing, storage, environment and wide temperature conditions than other lithium battery systems. In the cycle process, lithium dendrites will be generated from metal lithium, and metal lithium has a strong activity, which is easy to react with oxygen, water, etc. in the air, while metal lithium cannot withstand high temperatures, which brings difficulties to the assembly and application of the battery. Therefore, such lithium batteries must use non-aqueous electrolytes, which are generally composed of organic solvents and inorganic salts. In principle, they do not have a lasting chemical reaction with lithium and other materials of the battery. The common inorganic salts are LiClO4, LiAsF6, LiAlCl4, LiBF4, LiBr, LiCl, LiCl, LiBr, LiCl, while the organic solvents are generally PC, EC, DME, BL, THF, AN, MF with 2 to 3 mixed solvents as organic solvents.
