The self ignition temperature of lithium iron phosphate is 800 ℃, and the ternary material begins to melt, self ignite and explode at 200 ℃. In addition, lithium iron phosphate is not easy to explode when it is impacted or punctured. On the contrary, ternary material batteries are easy to explode. Therefore, the safety of lithium iron phosphate battery is better. In short, which battery is better? There is no final conclusion. For example, for buses, if the lithium iron phosphate ion battery has high safety requirements and abundant battery layout space, the lithium iron phosphate ion battery can be selected. For safety reasons, ternary materials are not allowed to be used in China's electric buses. However, for passenger cars with high space requirements, more ternary materials should be used, and safety should also be strengthened.
