  (1) The life cycle time of lithium ion battery is determined according to the battery quality and battery material: 1. The cycle times of ternary materials are about 800. 2. The cycle times of lithium iron phosphate battery is about 2500. 3. The cycle time of original battery and defective battery is different. Authentic batteries are designed and manufactured according to the number of cycles specified by the battery manufacturer, while defective batteries should not be cycled more than 50 times. At present, the total cycle life of 3.7v18,650 can reach 500~1000 times, and the total cycle life of 3.2v18,650 can reach more than 2000 times. Of course, the prerequisite is qualified batteries produced by regular manufacturers. If it is a defective or counterfeit battery, its life will be very short. The service life of lithium ion battery refers to that after a period of use, the battery capacity declines to 70% of the nominal capacity (room temperature 25 ℃, standard atmospheric pressure, battery capacity is discharged at 0.2C).

  (2) In industry, cycle life is usually calculated according to the number of full charge and discharge cycles of lithium ion battery. In the process of use, the lithium ion battery will undergo irreversible electrochemical reaction, resulting in a decrease in capacity, such as electrolyte decomposition, inactivation of active substances, collapse of positive and negative pole structures, etc., resulting in a decrease in the number of lithium ion intercalation and delamination. The experiment shows that the higher the discharge rate, the faster the capacitance attenuation. If the discharge current is low, the battery voltage will approach the balance voltage and release more energy. The theoretical life of ternary lithium-ion battery is about 800 cycles, which is the medium life of commercial secondary lithium-ion battery. Lithium iron phosphate has about 2000 cycles, while lithium titanate is said to have 10000 cycles. At present, mainstream battery manufacturers have committed to more than 500 times (charging and discharging under standard conditions) in their ternary battery specifications. However, due to the consistency problem, it is important that the voltage and internal resistance cannot be exactly the same, and its cycle life is about 400 times. The manufacturer recommends that the SOC service window be 10%~90%, and deep charging and discharging are not recommended, otherwise, the positive and negative pole structures of the battery will be irreversibly damaged. If shallow charge and shallow discharge are adopted, the cycle life shall be at least 1000 times. In addition, if the lithium-ion battery is often discharged at high speed and high temperature, the battery life will be significantly reduced to less than 200 times.
