Below, we assume that energy storage lithium batteries (non power type) and electric vehicle lithium batteries have the same capacity, and both belong to the same category as lithium iron phosphate batteries or polymer lithium batteries. The general application scenario of lithium iron phosphate batteries for energy storage is that some conventional electronic devices use electricity, such as information base stations, some 3C electronic products, etc. Their discharge requirements are mostly below 1C magnification. In such cases, the performance of the materials used to manufacture lithium iron phosphate batteries will be relatively poor, such as in terms of separators. In terms of internal resistance, due to the small discharge current of the battery, the internal resistance is generally higher than that of the power type battery. This means that although the type of battery material used for energy storage lithium batteries and power lithium batteries is the same, the quality of the same material is slightly worse, and the internal resistance is also higher. Therefore, in terms of overall price, generally speaking, Energy storage lithium iron phosphate batteries are cheaper than power lithium iron phosphate batteries.
In fact, energy storage lithium batteries also have power types, such as supporting a stable current discharge capacity of around 5C. Therefore, whether energy storage lithium batteries can be interchanged with electric vehicle lithium batteries depends on whether the types of these two batteries are the same, and then whether the batteries have the same capacity. Finally, it also depends on whether the stable discharge current supported by energy storage lithium batteries can meet the requirements of electric vehicle lithium batteries during driving, And whether the maximum allowable current meets the requirements for short-term use of electric vehicles.
