Function of energy storage battery

　　(1) Storage of electric energy

　　In most off grid photovoltaic systems, the voltage and current generated by the arrangement of photovoltaic cells (solar panels) array cannot be completely consistent with the load (electrical appliances). Especially when the natural conditions change and the light intensity changes in cloudy, rainy and evening days, the photovoltaic cells cannot provide full load energy, which results in difficulties for the normal use of electrical appliances (loads). With the battery to store energy and regulate its energy metabolism, the photovoltaic system is equipped with energy storage devices, which can provide the electrical appliances with the required power stably and satisfactorily. 　　Because the working characteristics of solar cells are affected by the changes of solar illumination (irradiation) intensity, temperature and other factors, it is difficult for the load to operate under the optimal working state if the solar cell module is directly connected to the load, and the system efficiency is very low. However, when the battery is used as an energy storage battery, it will have a "clamping" effect on the working voltage of the solar cell. It will be converted into a solar cell to charge the energy storage battery. The energy storage battery will supply power to the load steadily (especially the voltage) to ensure that the system operates under the optimal working state.

　　(3) Provide instantaneous high current discharge

　　The use of solar photovoltaic system is expanding, especially the off grid solar photovoltaic system, which will be used as the power for starting household appliances such as refrigerators (compressors), electric vehicles and motors when entering millions of households, because the starting of such electromechanical equipment requires large current, and the starting current is usually 5-10 times the rated working current. The solar cell module in the photovoltaic system is affected by the maximum short circuit current and limited by the light intensity. The photovoltaic cell array is difficult to cope with the requirements of starting current. If the battery is used, it can provide a large current for the load to start in an instant.
