The main structural parts of a lithium-ion battery include a positive electrode, a negative electrode, an electrolyte that can conduct lithium ions, an isolation film that separates the positive and negative electrodes, a positive lead, and a negative lead. During charging, lithium ions in the cathode material begin to detach from the cathode and migrate towards the anode through the diaphragm, capturing an electron on the anode that is reduced to Li and stored in a layered graphite structure. During discharge, lithium loses an electron in the anode and becomes a lithium ion Li+, which migrates through the diaphragm towards the cathode and is stored in the cathode material. Due to the migration of lithium ions between the anode and cathode during charging and discharging, lithium-ion batteries are commonly referred to as rocking chair batteries. Compared with traditional batteries, lithium-ion secondary batteries have the following characteristics [2], such as:
