Rechargeable battery, as a kind of rechargeable and discharge battery that can be recycled, is mainly used for No. 5 and No. 7 batteries in real life. In a post, I saw everyone leave a message: "I went to the store to buy No. 5 battery. The store recommended No. 5 rechargeable battery. I took it home and found it was a rechargeable lithium battery. Isn't No. 5 rechargeable battery a nickel metal hydride battery? What's the difference between it and rechargeable lithium battery?" What is No. 5 rechargeable battery? Here, let's first mention that No. 5 battery, AAR6, is a type of battery. Its general size is 14 mm in diameter and 50 mm in height. No. 5 battery is widely used in many small electrical appliances and digital products because of its small size and moderate capacity. Today, there are three types of No. 5 rechargeable batteries on the market: nickel cadmium batteries, nickel metal hydride batteries and lithium batteries. The packaging of rechargeable batteries will be printed with the words "charging", "triangle cycle mark" and "rechargeable" for easy identification. Nickel cadmium battery is marked with "nickel cadmium"; NiMH battery is marked with "NiMH"; Lithium battery is marked with "lithium ion"

In the market, the voltage of No. 5 lithium battery marked with 1.5V applies this principle. The 14500 lithium battery of Xtar has no circuit board, so the rated voltage is still 3.7V. DIY customers use No. 5 lithium battery (3.63.7V) on the camera. Since the size of No. 5 lithium battery is the same as that of ordinary No. 5 battery, it can be replaced. However, it should be noted that the single voltage of No. 5 lithium battery is 3.7V, while the single voltage of ordinary No. 5 battery is 1.5V. Therefore, when No. 5 lithium battery is used on the camera, only one is needed, and then No. 5 carbon battery or No. 5 alkaline battery is equipped. The battery is depleted (the short circuit between the positive and negative poles of the battery is equivalent to a wire, and the actual power supply is only the No. 5 lithium battery). The actual test shows that the service time of No. 5 lithium battery is twice that of the ordinary No. 5 battery. (Not recommended by xtar and non professionals).

  3. What is No.5 NiMH rechargeable battery? It can be said that No. 5 nickel hydrogen secondary battery is mainly designed to replace nickel cadmium battery. They are almost identical in appearance, but different in nature. NiMH battery uses nickel oxide as anode, hydrogen absorbing metal alloy as cathode, and potassium hydroxide alkaline aqueous solution as electrolyte. The energy density of MH Ni battery is higher than that of Cd Ni battery. The capacity of MH Ni battery with the same volume can be about twice that of Cd Ni battery. At the same time, it contains no harmful metals, is more environmentally friendly and eliminates the "memory effect". No. 5 nickel metal hydride secondary battery has high charging efficiency, but is not resistant to overcharge and overdischarge. Therefore, when charging the battery, the selected charger must be able to automatically cut off the power supply, otherwise it is easy to cause serious battery damage or even danger. Lithium battery is a new product, which belongs to new energy products. As for how to choose when purchasing, if you use it for cameras, toys and other devices, it is recommended to choose lithium batteries with large capacity, fast charging and constant voltage throughout the whole process; If it is used for flash lamps and other equipment, please select a nickel metal hydride battery with low self discharge and high current output advantages.
