What are the four stages of rechargeable lithium-ion batteries?

  With the release of current, the working voltage of the secondary battery decreases, and the specificity of organic chemistry decreases. In order to better maintain the characteristics of lithium batteries, lithium batteries are usually controlled in four stages: trickle charging (low-voltage pre charging), constant current charging, constant voltage charging and charge termination. The basic rules of lithium battery charging head are special current and battery charging working voltage to ensure safe charging. The purpose of adding other battery charging functions is to increase the number of battery cycles and simplify the actual operation of the charging head, including the application of trickle charging, battery voltage test, key current limit, charging after charging and closing the charging head, as well as partial charging and charging after discharging. The charging mode of lithium battery is constant current limiting power supply controlled by IC chip. The typical charging mode is to check the working voltage of the charging battery. If the working voltage is lower than 3V, pre charge it first. The current is 110 of the set current, the working voltage rises to 3V, and then the whole charging process begins. The whole battery charging adjustment process is as follows: set constant current charging current. When the lithium battery voltage rises, switch to constant current charging to maintain the working voltage of lithium battery charging. At this time, the current decreases slowly. When the current drops to 110 of the set current, the lithium battery is charged.

  The four stages of lithium ion battery charging are shown as follows:

  (1) Drip charging - Drip charging is used to pre charge the rechargeable battery module (continue charging). When the battery voltage is lower than 3V, choose trickle charging, and the trickle charging current is one tenth of the constant current (for example, the trickle charging current is 100mA)

  (2) Constant current power battery charging - When the battery voltage rises above the trickle charging threshold, the current rises to achieve constant current power battery charging. The charging current of constant current battery is in the middle. With the charging process of constant current power battery, the battery voltage gradually increases

  (3) Constant current source battery charging - When the battery voltage rises, the constant current source battery is charged. At the beginning, the constant current source battery is connected for charging. The current is based on the saturated state of the lithium ion cell, and the re current gradually decreases from the highest value during the whole battery charging process.

  (4) Battery charging stops. There are two typical charging termination methods: minimum current resolution or time (or). The minimum current method is used to monitor the current of the charging link of the constant current source battery, and stop charging when the current is lower than this current. The second method is to stop the whole process after the battery is charged for two hours. The four ring charging method is used for charging and discharging rechargeable batteries for up to 3 hours. At the same time, a large number of safety precautions have been selected for advanced charging heads. For example, if the battery temperature exceeds a specific dialog box (typically 0 to 45 degrees Celsius), battery charging will stop. After charging, if the detected lithium battery voltage is lower than the lithium battery voltage, it will be charged.
