Before leaving the factory, the lithium-ion battery should go through the following process: inject the electrolyte into the lithium-ion battery shell - seal - shape, that is, charge at constant voltage, and then discharge. In this way, several cycles are carried out to make the electrode fully penetrate into the electrolyte and fully activate until the capacity meets the requirements. This is the activation process - capacity separation, which is to test the capacity of the battery, select batteries with different performance (capacity) for classification, classify the battery level, and match the capacity. In this way, the lithium-ion battery can be activated in the user's hands.
(2) The commonly used nickel cadmium battery and nickel hydrogen battery are the same. They leave the factory only after activation. In the three national standards for MH Ni, Cd Ni and lithium-ion batteries issued in 2001, the initial capacity test clearly stipulated that the battery can be deeply charged and discharged for five times. When the requirements are met once, the test can be stopped. This well explains what I said. ★ It can also be called the second activation.
(3) The new battery used by the user for the first time should be charged and discharged as many times as possible. ● However, according to my test (for lithium-ion batteries), for lithium-ion batteries with a storage period of 1 to 3 months, after deep charging and deep discharge cycle treatment, the capacity has hardly increased.
