  There is a simple formula for the calculation of the charging time of nickel -metal hydride battery: hour = 1.5C/charging current. For example: charging 1200mAh battery, the charging current of the charger is 150mA, the time is 1800mAh/150mA equal to 12 hours. Of course, in many cases, we cannot calculate the right time, and we can get rid of the most half -hour for convenience. For example: the current of the charger is 160mA, and the battery of 1400mAh is charged at 2100mAh/160mA for about 13 hours without calculating it.

  The battery capacity depends on the labeling and charging current outside the battery to see the input current marked on the charger:

  1. Charging time (hour) when the charging current is less than 5%of the battery capacity = battery capacity (MAH) × 1.6-charging current (MA)

  2. The charging current is greater than 5%of the battery capacity, less than equal to 10%:

  Charging time (hour) = battery capacity (MAH) × 1.5-charging current (MA)

  3. When the charging current is greater than 10%of the battery capacity, when it is less than 15%:

  Charging time (hour) = battery capacity (MAH) × 1.3-charging current (MA

  4. The charging current is greater than 15%of the battery capacity, and the charging time (hour) when less than 20%is less than equal to 20%= battery capacity (MAH) × 1.2-charging current (MA)

  5. When the charging current is greater than 20%of the battery capacity:

  There are two ways to charge nickel -metal hydride batteries, which are the fast charging and slow charging we all know. Fast charging and slow charging are an important concept of charging. Only by understanding fast charging and slow charging can we correctly control the charging.
