  Many people are puzzled about the lifespan of lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles. How long can a set of lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles last? In fact, the service life of most lithium-ion batteries is designed to be around 1000 cycles (ordinary ternary lithium battery materials), which is 3-4 years.

  The lifespan of lithium-ion batteries in electric vehicles is 3-5 years, and lithium-ion batteries have strict charging cycles, usually around 1000-1200 times. However, lithium-ion batteries and lead-acid batteries are completely opposite in terms of charging. They need to be used up before charging, and when the battery is not in use for a long time, it needs to be fully charged every two months.

  We generally consider the service life of lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles, including charging and discharging, and wet storage. The current mainstream lithium-ion batteries have a charging and discharging lifespan of approximately 600 to 1000 cycles. What is this concept. Considering the impact of low temperatures in winter and the use of air conditioning in summer, if it is only used as a commuting vehicle, it should be recharged approximately every three days. So the battery of a car has a lifespan of about five years.

  Similarly, the service life of lithium-ion batteries during wet storage is the most excellent, with a lifespan of approximately 5 to 8 years. So overall, in about five years, the battery will probably need to be replaced.

  The cycle life of lithium-ion batteries is indeed higher than that of lead-acid batteries, but lithium-ion batteries have higher requirements for charging and are more accurate. If lithium-ion batteries are used improperly or not properly maintained, it is very likely to shorten the lifespan of lithium-ion batteries. Lithium iron phosphate batteries have high safety and long cycle life, as well as high charging and discharging rates, which means fast charging speed and good acceleration performance.
