The more commonly used robot batteries on the market are generally nickel -metal hydride batteries, lead -acid batteries, and lithium batteries.
Robots that choose nickel -metal hydride batteries are generally low -end toy robots, because the prices of such robots are not high first, and they must be limited in the manufacturing cost. In terms of battery prices, nickel -metal hydride batteries are a better choice. Toy robots do not need large capacity and large current discharge, and the safety requirements are relatively high. Nickel -hydride batteries just meet the requirements of this aspect.
The robot to choose a lead -acid battery is basically no need to move, because the lead -acid battery is very bulky, and it is very inconvenient to install on the mobile robot. Lead -acid batteries are generally used as spare power supply. In addition, the installation application cost is relatively low, the single consistency is better, and the development history is relatively long. The technology is more mature than the lithium battery, so it has certain advantages in industrial applications. However, because it has a relatively serious environmental pollution harmfulness and is not conducive to sustainable development, it is currently being slowly replaced by lithium iron phosphate batteries.
Lithium -ion batteries are generally used with special uses such as intelligent service robots, entertainment competitive robots or adventure explosion. First of all, these robots are not sensitive to choosing battery costs. At the same time, the battery is required to be light and capacity and can provide large current discharge. It also guarantees long life. Then the soft -bag lithium -ion battery is a more appropriate choice. There are two types of soft bag lithium -ion batteries: soft -packed polymer lithium battery and soft -packed iron phosphate battery, and these two lithium batteries, polymer lithium batteries in energy density (capacity), large current discharge, and low temperature performance. It is superior to lithium iron phosphate batteries, so it is used in the field of some competitive robots and special use robots.
